Mick Scott Blankenship also known as "Mick Scott" (born October 2, 1980) is an American singer, songwriter, musician and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead vocalist of War of Change 2011-2016, of which he is the sole remaining original member. 

Early life - Mick was born in Middletown, Ohio. He is the second youngest of 2 brothers born to Marvin and Laura Blankenship. Mick received his first drum set on Christmas day 1988 and began playing at the age of 8. Mick played his first gig at the age of 12 at a local club called Brandy's water wheel where they held an open jam called "Fig Jam". Mick attended Middletown high school class of 1999 where he started his first rock band and played at talent shows and local clubs. Mick was well know for being hyper-creative and excelled in Music, Art and Choir. Mick still to this day has a close personal relationship with his former music and art teachers. 

In 2015 Mick received a phone call from his older brother in Detroit stating that "he had heard on the radio that the legendary Stone Temple Pilots were searching for a new singer and that he thought he should audition for the gig". Mick recorded several STP songs and started a music journey would set the stage for his new career. Gaining notoriety and support from local radio stations 102.7 WEBN, 104.7 WTUE and 96.5ROCK. Mick played a STP tribute show to thank his fans and packed the house! Fans demanded more so Mick formed STP2 (Stone Temple Pilots tribute band) and plays regional shows that sell out legendary Venues. 

In 2017 Mick teamed up with producer John Moyer of the band (Disturbed, Art of Anarchy) and recorded his first solo album titled "Crown of Apathy" slated to be released early summer of 2017. Mick is the sole artist for his solo project where he writes and performs 100% of his own music.
