Mick Blankenship
Modern Rock Music
Mick Blankenship is an independent American Hard Rock artist, vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Built from the ground up without the backing of a major label, Blankenship has developed a substantial international audience while carving out a sound rooted in the power of modern Hard Rock, influenced by artists including Disturbed, Shinedown and Alice in Chains.
Blankenship worked alongside Disturbed bassist and producer John Moyer on his first two full-length albums, Crown of Apathy and Madness in the Shadows. His music has received radio airplay throughout the United States and Europe, with “Rule the World” reaching the Foundations Top 10 Rock chart in 2021 and becoming the #1 most-requested song on Boston Rock Radio (Z107) for four consecutive weeks.
His catalog also features collaborations with some of Rock's most respected musicians. Guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N’ Roses, Sons of Apollo) appeared alongside Moyer on Blankenship's debut album. He later teamed with producer and guitarist Noah Henson (Pillar, Brantley Gilbert) to create the six-song Legacy EP, continuing the evolution of Blankenship's sound and songwriting.
As a completely independent artist, Blankenship has built a powerful direct-to-fan presence across social media and digital platforms, reaching more than half a million followers across Facebook, TikTok and YouTube and generating more than 17 million streams across his catalog. His YouTube channel has surpassed 167,000 subscribers, earning him the YouTube Silver Creator Award after crossing the 100,000-subscriber milestone.
Beyond the numbers is a fiercely loyal community known as the Rock Soldiers—an audience Blankenship has cultivated through years of music, touring, direct fan engagement and an uncompromising DIY approach to his career.
With an established catalog, proven audience, national live experience and a growing independent brand, Mick Blankenship enters his next chapter with the foundation already built—and the ambition to take it significantly further.

Awards / Recognition
- “Rule the World” — #1, Boston Rock Radio — held the #1 position for four weeks.
- Foundations — Top 10, 2021 — if we can identify the exact chart/publication and position, this becomes stronger.
- YouTube Creator Award — Silver Play Button — surpassed 100,000 subscribers. This isn't a music award, but it is strong third-party recognition of audience scale.
